Kate Hudson's Late Binge on Rich New Orleans Cuisine: Good or Bad?

Adding to her new rosy glow, friends say, is also Kate's new body! She's actually shed her frail girl bod and put on a few healthy pounds!

"The girl can't stop eating," said a source who was working on the set of Kate's new movie, Earthbound, which  just wrapped filming in New Orleans, La.

"She said every time she was off the set, she was downing the local specialties, roast beef po' boys, drenched in gravy and mayo on fresh French bread. Or fried shrimp, fried catfish, or jambalaya. And bread pudding. Or King Cake, the official cake of Mardi Gras. All that stuff is super fattening." 

After one evening binge, Kate told her friends on the set, ""I just can't seem to stop eating! Everything here is so good!" 
And is she working out at all to counter act all the food?

"She's a runner, so, I know she tried to do that while she had breaks from set. And she loves to ride bikes, too. She’d take her son, Ryder, who was with her a lot while she was working, and they’d take cruises through the French Quarter. But was it enough activity to counter act all the calories she was consuming? I don't think so," said one set insider.

Kate has decidedly put on a few pounds, as a result, and our spy on the movie shoot added: "I wouldn't say she was fat! Not at all. She just looks healthy. Like a normal, beautiful girl. I've worked with her before, and she always looks like some damn waif. Now, she looks happy and healthy. I think it's sexy as hell, frankly."
